March 4, 2013. By Phil Bertoni, The Illinois State Historical site Mt. Pulaski Courthouse (circa 1847) is now being refurbished - most of the work is currently being done by volunteer Mt. Pulaskians with funds left over from our recent QuartoSepCentennial celebration in 2011 and additional donations that are continuing to trickle in. Work being done includes new window sills, new windows, new double-front and single back doors, new steps, walkway and surrounding lawn-wall repairs, cleaning, scraping and painting. Handicapped access will also be addressed when funds are available. Please send your donations to: Mt. Pulaski Courthouse Foundation, PO Box 171, Mt. Pulaski, IL 62548 (MPCF is non-for-profit 501 3c).
