But there is something to be done on these winter days and it can be a benefit to not only your family but to the Humane Society of Logan County. What we all can do is clean out the basement, and garage, and attic of all those unwanted, gently used items that are only gathering dust and taking up space and donate them to the Humane Society.
The Garage Sale committee met on Tuesday at the Cracker Barrel to begin to make plans for another giant garage sale to be held at the Logan County Fairgrounds.
The dates are set for May 10, and 11with more detailed information coming out as the event draws nearer.
The committee determined that drop off dates for bringing in items to be donated will be on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting in April and going up to the sale dates. The time for drop-offs will be between 10 am and 2 pm on each of those days.
Like last year, gently used items including furniture, recreation equipment, clothing and miscellaneous will be appreciatively accepted. This year electronics items will not be accepted as last year’s donations proved to be time consuming with no interest from garage sale buyers.
So get those special items that need a new home all together and get ready to help the Humane Society this summer. For more information you can call Adrienne Hahn at 732-1979 or Marilyn Wheat at 732-7853.
