Head Start knows that parents are the first and most important teachers of their children. We welcome parents as partners in the Head Start experience. Head Start is a federally funded pre-school program that serves income eligible families and/or children between the ages of three (3) and five (5) years.
Early Head Start is a child development program that serves income eligible families and/or children for pregnant mothers, infants and toddlers to age three. Children do not have to have a disability to qualify; however; we welcome all eligible children. Additional services, including screenings and access to medical, dental, vision services as well as community services are what sets Head Start apart from other child development and preschool programs. Transportation is also available to children and families to participate and receive full benefit of the program.
