Bergen resigns from Development Partnership
October 22, 2013, Photo from Herald archives, The Lincoln and Logan County Development Partnership have announced the resignation of Executive Director Brian Bergen. His resignation will be effective October 25. Bergen will be taking a position with a civil engineering and architectural firm in Peoria.
“I have enjoyed working with the board and the people of Lincoln and Logan County. I feel there is a lot of potential for the area. I think we made good progress over the past year particularly opening the lines of communication with the city and county. The partnership is more closely aligned with the Chamber and other local organizations. Channels have been opened with state and federal elected officials, progress has been made on the incubator project, 5th street is moving forward, and I believe there will be business growth in the area as inquiries continue to increase.”
Brian has worked hard to strengthen the Partnership, overseeing a financial audit, the County’s inclusion in the Central Economic Development Region (CEDS) and the Business Incubator. Brian worked with all our partners and communities for all of Logan County.
The Partnership has begun the search for a new Director and has posted the opening with the Illinois Development Council and LinkedIn.
The Lincoln and Logan County Development Partnership is a nonprofit charitable organization with the goals to develop new business, retain current business and enhance the quality of life in Logan County and all of its communities.
