Aue, Goodman smooch a pig for FFA
September 26, 2013, Wednesday marked a day that Elaine Aue, owner/operator of Culver’s, and Seth Goodman, ME Realty, will not forget anytime soon.
Culver’s of Lincoln held a “Kiss the Pig” Fundraiser with the donations going to the local Future Farmers of America chapter. This fundraiser ended Wednesday night were these lucky two got to kiss a baby pig. Seth and Elaine both raised $178.96 with the rest of the participants raising just over $100.00.
The kissing took place Wednesday night during a Share Day fundraiser with Culver’s. 10% of all sales were also donated to the FFA chapters.
These fundraising efforts were part of a franchise-wide “Thank You Farmers” campaign.
Culver’s wouldn’t be what it is today without family farms, both right here at home and across the nation. These families grow and produce the food that we proudly serve. From Midwest-raised beef, dairy farms in Wisconsin, and even south to Georgia chicken farms, Culver’s remains committed to sourcing the finest ingredients American’ growers have to offer.
Through the Culver’s “Thank You Farmers” partnership, Culver’s turns their gratitude into full-fledged support of today’s farm families, while helping ensure the future of the next generation.
Culver’s of Lincoln would like to thank: Seth Goodman/ME Reality, Andi Hake-Executive Director of the Lincoln/ Logan County Chamber, Mayor Keith Snyder, Dr. Penny Wittler- Ag-Ed Advisor for participating in the fundraiser, John Brown for the use of his pig, and everyone that donated to the cause.
