Animal Control offers discounts on pet adoptions through November 30
September 19, 2013, Logan County residents interested in getting a new pet might want to take advantage of a discount on pet adoptions offered by Logan County Animal Control through Nov. 30.
Dog/puppy adoptions are now $50, dropped down from $120. Cats /kitten adoptions have been discounted to $35 from $85. The adoption fee includes spay/ neutering, Heartworm test (for dogs) FIV test (for cats) parvo/distemper, micro chip and rabies vaccine.
The offer is good for anyone with an approved adoption application. Animal viewing hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10:30-4:30 pm, Wednesday 10:30-7:00 pm and Saturday 10:00-12:00 pm.
The Logan County Board approved the discount to ease overcrowding and maintain a level of live adoptions to be as close to a no-kill shelter as possible.
“We would like to see these animals go to good homes,” noted Kevin Bateman, chairman of the county Animal Control Committee.
