Excellent start to Mt. Pulaski Fall Festival
September 7, 2013, Story and slideshow By Phil Bertoni, A very nice crowd enjoyed a fun-fill afternoon and evening at the 121st Annual Mt. Pulaski Fall Festival – folks from Decatur, Lincoln, Clinton, Springfield and surrounding communities joined Pulaskians in their annual “end-of-summer & pre-harvest” festival. Over 350 enjoyed a delicious ribeye steak sandwich dinner under the tent, sponsored by the Mt. Pulaski American Legion Post 447, Women’s Auxiliary Unit 447, and SAL Squadron 447.
Saturday is the big day “On the Hill”, with a 5K run/walk beginning at 8:30, Christian Church Breakfast under the tent, all-day Courthouse craft show and carving exhibition, 1 pm parade, 2:30 hypnotist, 3 pm Mt. Pulaski Community Band, 5 pm Logan County FOP Walleye Fish Dinner, and more entertainment, music, carnival and vendor delicacies into the the late evening hours. The annual Mt. Pulaski St. John’s Lutheran Homemade Pronto Pups and lemonade stand is a must visit.
