121st Annual Mt. Pulaski Fall Festival this weekend

Thursday, Sept. 5 6:30 pm - talent show to benefit the Logan County Food Pantry in Christian Church Family Life Center on Lafayette Street. Zeiler Amusements carnival will be open at 4 pm.
Friday, Sept. 6, Rides, music, entertainment, dunk tank, 6 pm – Contests: Cutest Lil Farmer, Little Miss Mt. Pulaski, Junior Miss Mt. Pulaski; Egg roulette at 7 pm; annual game show will begin at 7:30. At 8 pm - lantern parade; local homemade craft show at the Mount Pulaski Courthouse (noon – 8 pm) At 5 pm: American Legion will host a rib-eye sandwich dinner under the tent.
Saturday, Sept. 7, 7:30 – 10 am: pancake and sausage breakfast at the food tent; “On the Hill” 5K run and walk, with registration at Mount Pulaski High School beginning at 8 am - Kids Dash at 8:30; 5K runners at 8:35, walkers at 8:40, and families at 8:45. All of the 5K events will start at the intersection of Washington and Jefferson streets; Zeiler Carnival opens at 9 am; craft show at the Mount Pulaski Courthouse (9-1; 2-7); Washington Street Merchants Bake-off at 9 am; Zion dunk tank will opens at 10 am along with Vinegar Hill Car and Bike Show and kiddie tractor pull; chili cook-off at 11 am; At 11:30 begins parade entry registration at the MP High School; parade begins at 1 pm: Spring Street, east on Wayne, north on Washington through the downtown area, west on Harry Street, then south on Spring back to MPHS. Beginning at 2 p.m. the Farmers Bank Main Stage will host a variety of entertainment: magician, Mt. Pulaski Community Band at 3 pm; eating contest begins at 5:30, and hypnotist at 6 pm; game show follows at 7 pm, live music at 9 pm; 5 pm: Logan County FOP Lodge #78 Walleye Fish Dinner under the tent; Haircut Actual featured band at the Jaycees Beer Tent, beginning at 8 pm - See more at: www.mtpulaskiil.com
A special event begins on Sat. at 3 pm with the dedication of Gasaway Field and Butkovich Drive in Veterans Park north of the Mt. Pulaski Cemetery off Elkhart Road
