State Bank purchases Abe statue
August 13, 2013, The Abraham Lincoln Statue Committee committed to produce a 22-inch bronze version of the statue to be placed on the Logan County Courthouse grounds. The first three of a limited edition of thirty small statues have been produced with The State Bank of Lincoln purchasing one of those three.

On Monday morning the 22 inch Abe was delivered to the bank's Sangamon and Broadway office.
The full-size Abraham Lincoln statue, to be placed on courthouse lawn, will commemorate the speech made by Abraham Lincoln on October 16, 1858 on the courthouse lawn, during his run for the Senate. The speech took place on the Logan County Courthouse square and drew a crowd of 5,000. The town of Lincoln was just five years old and its population was swelled far beyond its permanent residents that day.
There will be a total of (30) numbered, autographed by the artist, bronze statue's made and the mold then broken. The statue has a cost of $2,000.00. To acquire a bronze statue and to reserve your number, a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is needed. The balance of $1,500 is due at the time of delivery, which should be from four to six weeks once the order has been placed.
