Phi Theta Kappa hosts Trivia Night on April 12
April 4, 2013, Lincoln – Lincoln College’s Iota Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is hosting its semi-annual Trivia Night contest and fundraiser on Friday, April 12th at 6:30 p.m., at the Meyer-Evans Student Center at the school’s Lincoln campus. The event is open to the public.
The cost is just $10 per person to enter with a maximum of eight people per team. A $100 cash prize will be awarded to the winning team. In addition to the trivia contest, the event will feature a silent auction and a 50/50 cash drawing.

WLNX - FM Station Manager and Assistant Professor of Broadcasting John Malone will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Iota Chi Chapter will provide free popcorn. The Lincoln College Snack Bar will be open at 6 p.m. and items available for sale include burgers, fries, cheese sticks, beverages, and other tasty treats.
Phi Theta Kappa is the premier national honor society for junior colleges. Proceeds from this event will support Iota Chi chapter initiatives including purchasing recycle bins for Creekside Environmental Center and Special Olympics.
When asked about the importance of the fundraiser, Iota Chi chapter President Hannah Singleton, a sophomore from South Pekin responded, "Our chapter is looking forward to wrapping up this year’s campaign to raise funds for the purchase of recycling bins at Creekside Outdoor Education Center and to offer a cash donation to Special Olympics of Logan County outside of the funds raised for Polar Plunge. This Trivia Night will help us complete our goals.”
